Yes! Today was my first run outside since last Tuesday! I've been worried all day about how my run would go. I decided that I would just take it really slow & easy. It worked out great! I ran w/ a friend, we didn't get to run last week due to a death in her family, so we had a lot to catch up on. We just talked and ran, pain free. It was great! We ran 5:05 miles, in 1:00hr...super slow pace, but i was kind of afraid to step it up any. I was satisfied w/ our 5mi. Very excited to get a few more miles in this wk.
Breakfast: Blueberry Special K w/ 1% milk & coffee on my way to work
Lunch: left over hamburger from last night, no bun, just burger .... then I had some Chobani blueberry greek yogurt.
snacks: 2 bananas & some pretzels on my way home from my run
Dinner: spaghetti with whole wheat noodles, hamburger & turkey sausage.

Married 365 days!
Today is our 1 yr anniversary!!! yay!! It's been a great year, and it went super fast. I've always heard that the first year of marriage is the worst? I don't think that is the case for us, maybe because we have been together for 5 years, and we've lived together practically the whole time.... not saying this is the correct thing to do, i'm just sayin'...
This entry will pretty much be anniversary related, not to much fitness related stuff. But i'll start with what work out i was able to get in. As soon as we checked into the hotel I went to the fitness room. I had let me knee rest pretty much all week and i was really wanting to get a run in. Originally we were going to go to Ft. Desoto and run on the trail, but it was cold and rather windy on Saturday. I knew the hotel had a fitness room so i decided I'd run it out on the treadmill... The fitness room was okay, never worked out in one before so I can't compare. I was the only one in there so that was nice. I ran 4 miles and my time was 44:40.. which is super ridiculously slow, but i was nervous about me knee, and it was my first run on a treadmill..ever. (I know ladies from up north, i'm spoiled being able to run outdoors all year!) .. after my run I did 25 squats, 25 shoulder press, 20 R & L side plank, regular side plank & 10 push ups.
Breakfast yesterday: Blueberry Special K with 1% milk
Lunch : chicken burrito from chiptole w/ water
Dinner: Grilled Grouper w/ steamed broccoli from http://www.conchrepublicgrill.com/

Anniversary stuff:
Saturday we spent most of the day driving around Tampa & Clearwater. We went to International Diamond center so I could get my ring Rhodium plated... i hadn't had it done since the day before our wedding last year, it needed it! Now it looks so sparklyyy!!!!!
We checked into the hotel around 12 and then I went right to the fitness center.. Chris took a nap =) He was very happy to take an uninterrupted nap. I always bother him when he takes naps at home.. hehe!
Then we went in search of Channelside, and a place to have dinner. Neither of us have spent time in downtown Tampa, that place is huge, and crazy. I would go nuts if I had to drive down there on a regular basis.. We found Channelside, and also discovered there was no where we wanted to eat. As we were leaving I saw a sign that said BayShore Blvd so I said "OH BABE, GO THAT WAY, THAT'S WHERE GASPARILLA IS". So we went and drove down Bayshore for awhile, we looked at all the old houses; we were seriously like some tourists driving around , ha! After three loops around DT Tampa we finally found our way out and back to 275, we headed south to find John's Pass and to find something to eat.
We decided on http://www.conchrepublicgrill.com/ for dinner! It was super good! It was really crowded and probably 90% of the people were 65 and up! Weird. But it was super good food. & I got a t-shirt.
Sunday we went to breakfast at Panera. Nothing special. just Panera. Then we headed to the FL Aquarium where we walked around and saw all the exhibits then we fed the sharks!
getting our harness'... yeah, we had to have harness'. lol. we also had to sign a waiver that said something about death. ha.

oh pizza I hate you.
Today was not very successful.
I did an on-demand work out; it was a Harley Pasternak workout. It was good, i'm just feeling really out of shape this week. This not running crap is starting to suck. I was planning on running today but our area had severe weather warnings when I got off. It was pouring when I left the office. No thanks. I came home and cleaned up the house since we are going leaving for the wknd tomorrow morning.
In addition to the Harley Pasternak video I did:
Elbow Planks
Regular Planks
Side planks x 20 lifts (Right & Left)
50 Bicycle crunches.
Once again, i'm really hoping to get a run in tomorrow once we get down to Tampa. We are planning on going to Fort Desoto to run on the trail there. My half marathon is on the Fort Desoto trail.
Breakfast: honey bunches of oats with 1% milk
Lunch: left over meatloaf
Snack: chobani greek pineapple yogurt, banana, some pretzels, and half of an apple while i was sitting in traffic on my way home.
Dinner: ugh, this is the worst. dominos pizza. ugh. I've been doing so so good and then I ate pizza. omggggeee but it was sooooooooooo good.
This wknd is probably not going to be all that great either. Saturday night we are going to http://www.islandwaygrill.com/ ,We are going to http://www.firstwatch.com/ for breakfast Sunday Morning before we go to http://www.flaquarium.org/ .
Good night ya'll. I really have to go fold clothes, we can't even see our bed because the clothes are piled high. I really hate folding clothes. eck.

I really don't have a title. Why do I have to have a title for every post?
I let me knee rest again today. I am really really really hoping to get a run in with a friend tomorrow. The strength training workout i did last night had me do planks; what I really don't understand is how do I *count* planks? I don't know, so i'll just says I held my plank for 1min 20 seconds. I need to do some research on planks, so i can know what's effective, and *how many* I should be doing to make them effective. I did side planks, I did 20 on each side... which consisted of dipping my hip down a few inches and lifting back up. I also did 10 push-ups... kinda puny. but whatever. I was going to try and do a dance workout, but I couldn't do it with Chris sitting in the living room, it was to dorky. =)
Breakfast: Honey bunches of oats w/ 1% milk
Lunch: uhm what did I have? Oh, Chicken Enchilada Chili.
Snacks: banana, string cheese, & pretzels
Dinner: Meatloaf & zuchini, and squash. ... Meatloaf is Chris' favorite, he's been such a good sport with all the new recipes, and all the new chicken (he's not a huge chicken fan). i decided to make him his favorite meal this week.
The zuchini & squash was so good. I diced them up, put some olive oil in a pan, put some salt on them and cooked them until tender. yum!
Good night. Grey's Anatomy is on!

23 days till Gasparilla.
counting down the days, and wondering if I'm even going to be able to run the whole thing. I am really trying hard to let my knee rest. Today I let my knee rest completely.
I did a strength training work out from our TV on-demand, it was pretty alright. Then I did 15 minutes of a 20 minute Ab workout. I didn't like the workout, I didn't like the lady, some of the stuff she did was just to far out there for me. I'm not that coordinated for some of the moves she was doing. I also did some resistance band exercises for my arms. & 15 push-ups(that's all I could handle). I am really hoping to get a run in tomorrow. I'm going to wrap my knee and go for a easy 3mi tomorrow. I really want to get a long run in this weekend, but we'll see.

Lunch- .. lol.. i didn't want to take potato soup so I had toast w/ nutella spread.
for snacks I had string cheese, banana , and pretzels through out the days.
Dinner: success..finally. We had Chicken Enchilada Chili . http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2010/01/enchilada-chicken-chili.html .... I don't feel like typing out the recipe. So go there and get if if you would like...
Good night party people, i'm out.

End of the day.
Dinner was a complete fail. I *made* crock pot mac n cheese.. FAIL... I put it on before I left for work and hoped for the best. I got home from work @ 7:30p and Chris said, " I made you some tomato soup & grilled cheese"... me: "so the mac n cheese was bad huh?" lol he just looked at me.. Ha Ha Ha... Oh well. I am totally sucking lately at new recipes. Chris said he wishes I would break up the new ones...like try a new one once a week, not 4 new ones in one week. But I get so sick of eating the same crap, and right now I do not have time to get off work and make dinner. I hate eating late. ... So next week I guess I'll go back to some old, fail proof recipes that I know he likes. Oh well. ... this week I am still sticking with my menu plan.
I remembered today that I need to call the bakery that did our wedding cake. They told us that they would give a cake for our one yr anniversary.. it was part of the contract or something. The problem is , is that they are all the way in Crime Hills and that's a far drive for a cake..plus when the heck am I going to have time to drive up there for a cake? I probably won't.... My solution: Make a cake Friday night when I get off work and eat it sometime this wknd... I don't know. We are going to Tampa this wknd & I don't know that taking a cake with us is an option. We can't check into our hotel until 3pm Saturday so what would I do w/ a cake all day Saturday? --- we are going down Saturday morning and spending the day doing whatever.
_____
Exercise:
2.29 mi run
10 push ups...this was all I could manage this morning. I did the normal ones, not the girly ones, so this was improvement for me.
Tonight when I got home I did a few resistance band exercises and some dumbbell rows w/ my hand weights...
10 more push up.
____
Breakfast- I scarfed down some honey bunches of oats w/ 1% milk
Lunch: left over potato soup-- still was not all that good and i'm feeling much better today then I was last night when I ate it.
Dinner: grilled cheese & tomato soup.
Hopefully dinner for tomorrow is successful. I am making Enchilada Chili.
I'm hoping to use a guest pass and go to our local gym to ride a bike. I really think I should give my knee a break from running for a few days, but I can't stand the thought of doing absolutely nothing. Riding is less impact, right? RIGHT?!

under the weather-
Yuck. I have been sick since last Thursday. I have a cold, and some ridiculous non-stop coughing. Yesterday was horrible. I worked 830a-7:15p, and I was coughing the whole blasted time! I had cough drops. Did you know that cough drops have 15 freakin' calories in them.. Goodness. I don't even want to know how many extra calories I had because of cough drops yesterday =) ha ha! but seriously. I went to lunch at 1130, bought some cough drops and ate several every hour for the next 8 hrs... ... and today probably won't be much better. I have to go into work at 11a and work till 7p. joy!
Obviously I couldn't run yesterday, and I was feeling icky when I got home so I ate dinner --potato soup-- and then cuddled on the couch with my hubs and ate popsicles .. lol..
Breakfast yesterday was Honey bunches of oats with 1% milk.
Lunch was leftover chipotle baja pork chops, minus the pork chop.. they shrunk up so much in the crockpot that we ended up eating most of the pork chops for dinner the night before so i just ate carrots and potatoes...it was good but it was waayyyy to freakin' spicy for me.
Dinner was potato soup..... maybe its because I'm sick and my tastebuds are kaput right now but I didn't like it. I'm taking it for lunch today and i'm honestly kind of dreading it. I added a few things that I *Thought* would be good in it... i dunno, i don't think they helped.. I added mushrooms and turkey sausage... eh. It was okay.
______________
This morning i somehow managed to sleep through the alarm or turned it off and don't remember- but we didn't get up till 7:30a and thats when Chris should have been leaving for work, and I should have been running. ....
Needless to say my run was cut short. Instead of going to the lake I just went downtown D-port and ran..which sucked. I remember why I hate running there so much. The sidewalks are in horrid conditions, uneven, broken & I don't dare run in the road, no thanks!
I only made it 2.29mi... It started pouring, and my right knee really started to bother me. Rather then push it, injure my self further , and make myself more sick I quit and came home =( - I feel like a loser.
Gotta roll, need to get ready for work.
